Deoband Community Wikimedia (DCW) was established on 31 July 2021, and recognised by the Wikimedia Foundation as a user-group affiliate on 16 January 2022.

We conducted the Bhopal Photo Event in October 2022, bringing over 300 undocumented images of mosques and religious seminaries from Bhopal to Wikimedia Commons.
