We are pleased to invite our community members, academics, and researchers to submit their abstracts for a one-day conference celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Wikipedia. The deadline to submit the abstracts is 12 January 2026.

The conference aims to explore the following thematic areas related to Wikipedia, its sister projects, and the wider Wikimedia movement:

  1. Impact of AI
  2. Systemic Bias
  3. Neutrality and Reliability
  4. Navigational Challenges of Wiki Users
  5. Wikipedia and Knowledge Revolution
  6. Role of Wikipedia in Knowledge activism
  7. Local Wikimedia communities and their challenges

Kindly follow the following submission guidelines:

  1. Length: Abstracts must not exceed 300 words
  2. Format: Please submit in PowerPoint (.pptx) format
  3. Submission: Email your file to dcw@wikimedia.org with the subject line: Abstract Submission: [Your Name] – [Topic].
  4. Ensure that your email body is not blank.

We will announce the selected abstracts and the conference venue by 17 January 2026.
