Vacancy Call for Conversation Hour Lead, October 2024
We are seeking applications from Wikimedians and other open-knowledge enthusiasts to support our DCW Conversation Hour as a Lead. The monthly open conversation hour has recently completed 21 editions engaging diverse range of experts and scholars throughout the globe. The lead will receive a monthly stipend of INR 8000 to appreciate the time invested in completing the tasks.
The primary responsibility of the Conversation Hour Lead is to effectively plan, communicate and moderate the sessions, as well as identify, invite, and select speakers and topics of concern. These tasks are carried out under the guidance of our Program Manager. Additionally, the lead is expected to:
- Create and manage event pages for the conversation hour on dcwwiki.org.
- Draft and send invitations on several community mailing lists, and social media channels to maximize outreach. The lead will also be responsible for posting announcements on our news page at Meta-Wiki.
- Ensure that the recordings of the conversation hours are timely made available on our YouTube channel for wider benefit.
- Take minutes of the meeting from each conversation hour, compile and prepare a brief report about them.
