The Deoband Community Wikimedia is dedicated to contributing and shaping the global open knowledge movement, envisioning a world where every person has free and easy access to the sum of all human knowledge. Our vision centres on representing global Muslim academia, history, culture, heritage and scholarship across Wikimedia projects. As a Wikimedia Foundation affiliate, we closely align with the Foundation's vision statement:
We are committed to advocating for open access by collaborating with Wikimedia communities, Muslim minority institutions, and academic centers. Our initiatives aim to make accurate information easily accessible and free for everyone, and to cultivate transformational leaders in our community to drive meaningful and equitable change in the open knowledge ecosystem.
