Exploring the scope of Wikimedia Commons
The scope of Wikimedia Commons is often contested, which makes this conversation important. Simply known as Commons, the project is one of the largest repository of freely licensed media. Initiated in September 2004, Wikimedia Commons hosts over 110 media files as of now. However, limitations exist as to what can be uploaded on the website. In this workshop, we look forward to exploring these limitations and understand the scope of Wikimedia Commons from a very basic perspective.
