The Deoband Community Wikimedia (DCW) was established on 31 July 2021, and convened as a Wikimedia Foundation affiliate on 16 January 2022. Over the years, DCW has significantly contributed to the open knowledge ecosystem and gained a significant representation at several Wikimedia spaces. However, as we continue growing, we need a group of dedicated members to lead the decision-making processes, and continue making a difference!
We are excited to publish our first call for appointing four community members (two males & two females) to the [[DCW Board]], which has been idealised in our [[:meta:Deoband Community Wikimedia/Activity plans/Half-Yearly Strategic plan for October 2024 - March 2025|October 2024 - March 2025 activity plan]].
