Why are you running for the DCW Board? What unique contributions do you bring to the role? What areas would you like to learn more about?	As an active member of the Deoband Community Wikimedia (DCW), I have made significant contributions to its mission through my roles at DCW's first Train a Wikipedian (TaW) program, as well as by leading the Conversation Hour initiative. My experience in community engagement and governance positions me well to support DCW at a strategic level. I aim to strengthen community trust, enhance onboarding processes for new members, and ensure inclusivity within DCW. Additionally, I am eager to learn more about policy development, organizational growth, and financial sustainability for user groups like DCW.
Please describe your Wikimedia experience (such as contributions to the Wikimedia projects, activities as a Wikimedia movement organizer, or other relevant participation).	I have contributed in movement organizing in several different roles: Movement Organizing: I have played an essential role in planning and executing DCW's Train a Wikipedian (TaW) event, particularly in welcoming participants and ensuring trust and safety measures are well maintained. Conversation Hour Initiative: I have been responsible for planning and leading DCW Conversation Hour, including curating speakers (such as Jacqueline Chen for March 2025) and facilitating meaningful discussions to foster knowledge exchange. Content Contributions: I have translated documentation pages on multilingual projects such as Wikimedia Commons & Meta-Wiki into the Urdu language through the Translate extension. I am also a member of the Volunteer Response Team (VRT) at DCW.
From your perspective, what should the Deoband Community Wikimedia prioritize over the next 3 to 6 years? Why do you consider these priorities to be the most important?	I believe DCW should focus on: Strengthening Governance & Sustainability: Establishing clear policies and a sustainable funding model to ensure long-term growth. Expanding Outreach & Partnerships: Collaborating with global Wikimedia communities and academic institutions to enhance impact. Improving Newcomer Support & Retention: Enhancing mentorship programs to guide new contributors and ensure a welcoming environment. These priorities will help solidify DCW's role as a well-structured and inclusive Wikimedia affiliate.

Describe your educational background, including degrees, certificates, and courses of study finished, and their relevance to board work.	I have completed a bachelor's degree in Mathematics(Pure), and I'm currently pursuing a Master's in Mathematics with Computer Science. These have helped me develop strong problem-solving skills, which could be put to use at DCW.
Describe your experience in making impactful decisions.	My experience in Trust & Safety regulations has required me to make informed decisions that impact community well-being.
