DCW Board Elections

DCW Board Elections are held every three years to appoint four members to the DCW Board, which consists of five voting members and three non-voting advisory members. Aafi, the founder of the Deoband Community Wikimedia holds a permanent seat on the board, while the non-voting advisory members are appointed from Wiki Clubs operating under the DCW umbrella. Through this election process, four community members (two male and two female) are elected to serve a three-year term on the DCW Board.

Requirements

To qualify as a candidate for the Board Elections, candidates must meet the following basic criteria:

The candidate should have a fair understanding of the Wikimedia ecosystem and our vision statement, and must have contributed at least 100 volunteer edits.
Prior experience in leadership or management roles is preferred.
The candidate must hold at least an undergraduate degree.
The candidate must not be blocked on any Wikimedia projects at the time of the election.
