I’m Sana Sabir, a volunteer with Deoband Community Wikimedia and the founding lead of [[Wiki Club AMU]]. My journey with the Wikimedia movement began with designing graphics for DCW, which gradually introduced me to the larger mission of free knowledge and community building. | |||
Since then, I’ve actively worked on engaging youth, especially Muslim women and students, in Wikimedia projects like Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikisource. I’m passionate about creating inclusive spaces and bridging knowledge gaps through collaboration and storytelling. | |||
In 2025, I had the honor of representing DCW and Wiki Club AMU at the [[:meta:Wikimedia Youth Conference 2025|Wikimedia Youth Conference in Prague]] - you can check my blog [[:diff:2025/06/12/the-conference-where-we-mattered-most-wikimedia-youth-in-prague/|here]], which inspired the upcoming [[Youth Focus Group]], a dedicated initiative to engage Indian Muslim youth in the open knowledge ecosystem. Hello!
I’m Sana Sabir, a volunteer with Deoband Community Wikimedia and the founding lead of Wiki Club AMU. My journey with the Wikimedia movement began with designing graphics for DCW, which gradually introduced me to the larger mission of free knowledge and community building.
