Wikidata Sprint 2024: Decentralized Wikidata 12th anniversary events

Wikidata is one of many open-source platform, which make up the global Wikimedia movement. It was founded on 29 October 2012 to serve as a free knowledge base, comprising data items. It is one of the fastest growing projects within the movement - easy to edit, and easy to explore, than other wikis. 

The Deoband Community Wikimedia has been celebrating Wikidata anniversaries with spririt since 2022. Over the period of time, as we helped establish Wiki Clubs, our events have decentralized. Unlike in 2022 and 2023, we celebrated [[Wikidata Sprint 2024|Wikidata 12th anniversary]] quite differently - with several offline events, a thematic label-a-thon, spanning three-days, from 29 October to 31 October 2024.

This year, these events were led by COT members of our clubs, [[meta:Wiki Club AMU|Wiki Club AMU]],  [[meta:Wiki Club Deoband|Wiki Club Deoband]] and [[meta:Wiki Club Jamia|Wiki Club Jamia]], at three distinct places, Aligarh, Deoband and Delhi. Our volunteers met, contributed to Wikidata with labels, statements, and enjoyed "Wikidata cakes". We appreciate the efforts put forth by Hiba, Nadeem, Samiya and Zuhair - the leads of our Wiki Clubs!
