The Deoband Community Wikimedia believes in transparency. We want to make it clear that:

  1. We are a recognized user-group affiliate of Wikimedia Foundation.
  2. We are different and independent of the Wikimedia Foundation.
  3. Our focus enhances the free knowledge movement.
  4. We may not necessarily engage in activities that do not belong to our theme.
  5. The name “Deoband” in our name bears no connection with the Darul Uloom Deoband in India.
