Wikimedia Alliances Fund: Lessons & Learnings
Event
27th DCW Conversation Hour
This Conversation Hour features Jacqueline Chen, a Senior Program Officer at the Wikimedia Foundation, working with the Community Resources team. She collaborates closely with Wikimedia communities in the ESEAP (East, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific) and SA (South Asia) regions, focusing on funding and resource allocation to support movement growth. With experience across public foundations, non-profits, and government sectors in Asia, Jacqueline has worked in Singapore, Cambodia, and Hong Kong, bringing expertise in policy, program development, fundraising, and operations. She played a key role in the Alliances Fund Programme to cultivate partnerships beyond the Wikimedia movement to amplify its impact.
Jacqueline will share insights and reflections on the Alliances Fund Programme — a three-year pilot initiative to foster partnerships beyond the Wikimedia movement to amplify its impact. With the programme coming to a close, this session will focus on learnings from the experience, strategies for aligning funding programmes with partnership sourcing, and the broader implications for movement goals.
Join us for an insightful session to discover how strategic collaborations and funding initiatives shape the open knowledge movement and gain valuable insights into opportunities for future partnerships.
