If you are passionate about sharing knowledge through photography, we welcome you to apply for our Heritage Lens Fellowship. As our Heritage Lens initiative enters its seventh iteration, we are seeking creative enthusiasts to join us in exploring Muslim heritage in Lucknow. Through Heritage Lens, we aim to provide freely licensed media, including images showcasing Muslim heritage, on Wikimedia Commons.
Our fellowship offers local logistical support to facilitate your participation. It is an exciting opportunity to actively engage within the broader Wikimedia movement. You will gain insights into the copyright ethics, especially in the context of navigating Wikimedia Commons. Although no formal certificate is provided, the fellowship promises an immersive experience that will fuel creativity and redefine the boundaries of conventional learning.

We will notify the selected fellow by November 19, 2025.
Activity timeline
- Applications open: 8 to 16 November 2025
- Announcement of fellow: 19 November
- Training period: 20 to 24 November (Virtual learning sessions)
- Filed work (Capturing images and uploading on Commons): to be decided according to the convenience of our fellows
- Follow-up learning report on Meta-Wiki: Before December 7.
