Heritage Lens Fellowship January 2025 Call
If you are passionate about sharing knowledge through photography, we welcome you to apply for our Heritage Lens Fellowship. As our Heritage Lens initiative enters its fifth iteration, we are seeking creative enthusiasts from the picturesque region of Kashmir to join us. Through Heritage Lens, we aim to provide freely licensed media, including images showcasing Muslim heritage, on Wikimedia Commons. This iteration’s theme, "Highway Heritage", highlights the mosques and other heritage sites that grace the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway.
Our fellowship offers local logistical support to facilitate your participation. It is an exciting opportunity to actively engage within the broader Wikimedia movement. You will gain insights into the copyright ethics, especially in the context of navigating Wikimedia Commons. Although no formal certificate is provided, the fellowship promises an immersive experience that will fuel creativity and redefine the boundaries of conventional learning.
To apply, kindly email our Program Lead at programdcwwiki.org before January 20, 2025, with the subject "Heritage Lens January 2025 Fellowship Application". Ensure you submit photographic samples/photographic portfolio as part of your application. Selected fellows will be notified by January 31, 2025.
